You probably packed away your swimsuit months ago, but that doesn't mean you can't get into sexy surfer shape now. This drill from Paul Frediani, author of the new book Surf Flex (Hatherleigh Press), strengthens abs, back, butt and legs. "Single-leg lunges force your glutes, quads, hamstrings and calves to work to support your weight," says Frediani. "Plus, you use your abs and back to stabilize your torso so you better your balance."
HOW IT'S DONE Stand with your back to a chair. Lift and extend your left leg behind you, resting the lower half of your shin on the sat (knee bent almost 90 degrees). With hands out for balance, bend your right knee and lower your torso as far as you can without letting your knee go past your toes; return to starting position. Do three sets of 10 on each leg, three times a week. -Lesley Goober
